Shannon Gallier, Organist/Choirmaster

Shannon Gallier is our Organist-Choirmaster. A native of Texas, Shannon holds his Master’s degree in Organ Performance and Literature from Indiana University’s Jacob School of Music. In 2007, Shannon was awarded his Bachelor’s degree in Organ Performance from Centenary College of Louisiana. His primary teachers have included Todd Wilson, Larry Smith, Holly Watson, and Jerome Wells. As an organist, Shannon has performed throughout the United States and has served congregations in Texas, Louisiana, and Indiana. He is an active member of the American Guild of Organists, the Association of Anglican Musicians, and the Royal School of Church music. Here at Good Shepherd, Shannon’s duties include direction of the Chancel Choir and the St. Cecilia and St. Nicholas Choirs, accompanying the weekly Choral Eucharist on the four manual 1929 E.M. Skinner organ, working with and supporting the Chamber Music Society of the Good Shepherd, and continuing the parish’s tradition of musical excellence in its classic Anglican worship.
